The iconic Porsche 911 has been taking breaths away for over 50 years, with its original 1964 model catapulting the Stuttgart automotive producer to dizzying heights in the sports car manufacturing industry. Indeed, in the 1999 Car of the Century awards the 911 placed fifth, trailing only mass market cars such as the Ford Model T and VW. Renowned Emory Motorsports unveils its first -ever fully custom Porsche 911, the 911K Outlaw, paying homage to motorsport and 60s design cues. A Porsche like this doesn’t need much to improve its looks, but a few key changes have really brought this old gal to life. On the outside, the car is finished in a silver hue with some gold 911 R-style decals applied over the top. There are also black Porsche decals, race numbers on the doors, and some very recognizable Magnus Walker logos. With my 1999 Porsche 911 LS-swap project in full swing, I’ve been pondering the meaning of the term "Outlaw" as it relates to the Porsche world. Initially, it was a negative connotation given to Porsche enthusiasts whose modifications were deemed sacrilegious by the purists — but now, it’s a fully embraced subculture in the Porsche community.

In terms of 911s, it was a likely not the place for purists, but fans of the outlaw look had plenty of souped-up 911 T’s, S’s, E’s, SC’s, and Carreras to take in.

The Porsche MOMO 356 RSR Outlaw by Rod Emory and his team is one of the fastest street-legal Porsche 356s anywhere in the world. That said, although the car is officially titled as a 1960 Porsche 356 it’s actually more of a Porsche Greatest Hits Album – all rolling on custom MOMO wheels and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires. This Porsche started its life as a 1982 Porsche 911 SC. The car has been individualized to celebrate the famous 1973 RS with an Outlaw Build. The Engine a 3, 6 litre 993, with twin spark conversion was done by France Stangel at Carrera Motors.
